CHLOE comme PARRIS

Was almost lost in a sea of black as I watched Chloe comme Parris yesterday. I really liked this line though, and the rocker/gothic feel to it. The designer showed a lot of cut-outs, velvet, drapery, a-symmetrical hemlines and random studded and spiked chains hanging from the garments- So badass!

Australia Bound

Had to repost this because their style is fucking rad. They are two designers from Australia, wicked blog, http://www.nodiscount.com.au/blog Officially moving to Australia now, because Canadian fashion is played out and BORING. I am so tired of seeing the same thing everywhere I go in downtown Toronto. This hipster, AA(american apparel) fashion scene is never original, and copied by almost everyone. I can't even hate too much either, because I shop at AA, and constantly rifle through racks of clothing at various thrift stores- aka secretly value village, and it's as if everybody does the same thing these days. If those Aussies, know where it's at, and know how to throw it down, then Imma be on the next plane to the land down under and up outta Rexdale homie. Lmao.

Haider Ackermann Fall 2011 RTW

Dolce & Gabbana

"Rock Star" seems to be the title to fit this look in my mind to describe Dolce & Gabbana's fall 2011 RTW line. It's as if the line emulates a starry night yet has a rocker touch to it. The stars also remind me of 80's glam. If you remember those barbie dolls back in the 80's with those big plastic star earrings and star logos on all of barbie's clothing- that's what this line sort of reminds me of.

The sequin body suit underneath the lace dress is to absolutely die for. I also love the random added touch of socks with pointy toe pumps.

BRILLIANT BALMAIN

From his grunge/punk inspired line from Spring 2011 RTW, and now to this one for Fall 2011 RTW, Balmain always amazes me. These deep v-neck jumpers are to die for, and the one paired with the metallic baby blue jacket.. so chic. On an unoriginal note, it looks like sequins, metallics, and glitter are all in for Fall 2011 (what a surprise there!) Last year, I felt fall was really innovative as the must-have style shifted to a more grungey look. From what I have seen so far from the Fall 2011 RTW collections, styles are returning to chic. But, it is only Balmain who will always be able to keep it rock and roll.
