You will read more about this topic as I feel very passionate about it. Religion is a distraction, it is a way of conformity. Everybody wants something to believe in, because religion offers comfort to humans as we often cannot deal with the thought of death. Unless you are solely an Athiest, and you do not believe in absolutely anything- human beings thrive on faith.
Spirituality is a whole different matter.
